A good audience makes a world of difference
I love playing at assisted living and long-term care facilities for numerous reasons. For one thing, my repertoire is mostly made up of old standards and show tunes that older folks tend to know and love. For another, I encounter a level of audience engagement and appreciation that is rare elsewhere. Simply put, it’s good for my soul.
